  1987 - The Depot We purchased the oldest building in Shipshewana, the old train depot, circa 1888. This photo was taken in1934. When we purchased the depot, it was clad in white aluminum siding, and fake lava stone. We had plans to restore it someday. Actually, we purchased the building on Monday, tore out two closets, repainted the main gallery, hung artwork, and had a P. Buckley Moss show on Saturday! I always wanted a train depot.
